Thank You, Jennifer Kliegel Teacher, Owner/Director  The Dance Studio of Park Slope's Children's Program offers an extensive, year round, schedule including: our special tots and pre school programs in dance, movement and tumbling, kindergarten to first grade combinantion dance class, tumbling and a complete curriculum for ages 6 through teens in dance and musical theatre. Classes Offered: Tots and pre school dance and movement classes include: Tots on the Go (age 2), Rhythm and Motion (age 3) and Creative Dance (age 4). An old friend at The Dance Studio has returned this year - Pre school Tumbling for ages 3, 4 and 5. The Dance Studio is the original center for tumbling in Park Slope. Also, for our kindergarten to first grade students (ages 5 to 6), is the very popular, special combination dance class - Ballet/Jazz/Tap. A complete curriculum is available for ages 6 through teens in dance and musical theatre, with outstanding progressive programs in Ballet, Tap, Jazz/Hip Hop Fusion and Contemporary Dance. The Children's School Year is ongoing and divided into two semesters. (See calendar information that follows, below.) First Semester begins Wednesday, September 9th and continues to the end of January 2010. Second Semester begins February 1st.  The Dance Studio stands alone in this community with our end of school year Recital Performance, in June, held in a professional setting at Brooklyn College, Whitman Theatre. A Children's Summer Program is offered July through early August.  For Children's Classes, we can create a class for you! If you are interested in a specific class, or different ages, and you have a group of 5 or more children who would like to participate and commit, give us a call.The new Children's Schedule is available online NOW!. Pre-registration for Children's classes is required to reserve your place in class. This includes registration fee plus 1/2 tuition. Classes fill up quickly and are limited in size. The Dance Studio offers a continuous school year of classes that is divided into two semesters (payment periods). Students enrolled in First Semester classes hold their placement for Second Semester. New students enrolling in Second Semester should call for class availability. Classes which perform in the recital close in February. Tots On The Go classes remain open all year (if space is available). The Summer Program is offered July and August. There are periodic classroom observation weeks inviting parents to watch the students’ progress. The school year ends in June with our Annual Recital Performance - held in a professional setting at Brooklyn College, Whitman Theatre. Tumbling classes end the school year with a performance at The Dance Studio. Unlimited make up classes are permitted for absentees, but must be used in similar age and level class during the same semester. Studio notification is required for make ups. Costumes (per costume) dance $70/$75, separate from tuition. Costume payment is due with second semester tuition. Tickets for the recital performance are $16 each - reserved seating. Full tuition is due on, or before the first class day of each semester. We offer great savings with our discount packages for multiple class studnets and/or siblings. Registration Fee $40 per child (School Year - September through June) Registration fee plus 1/2 tuition is required to reserve class. Confirmation of enrollment in class and payment received will be sent via email. Please include your electronic address on registration form. Single Trial Class $21 This will be applied to tuition if enrolling. Tuition Per Semester (for a total of 18 weeks) Taking one class per week total semester tuition $378 Multiple Class Discount Packages (for a total of 18 weeks) Applies to students taking multiple classes and/or families with more than one child enrolled. Taking two classes per week total semester tuition $720 (save $36) Taking three classes per week total semester tuition $1026 (save $108) Taking four classes per week total semester tuition $1332 (save $180) Additional Family Discount: Parents, take classes in the Adult Program and save $20 off any adult class card when child’s tuition is paid in full.
