ZUMBA CLASS with Sarah Garcea Tuesdays at 6:30, starts March 2nd  The Dance Studio of Park Slope is the original center for dance, musical theatre and performance in Park Slope for both Children and Adults. In September we begin our 34th year of business in this community. Our facility, new construction in 2007, is located at 630 Sackett Street (between 3rd and 4th Avenues) and offers: large, state of the art dance floors - both floating and sprung, central air conditioning and heating, storefront access for ease with strollers, less street congestion for those who drive, public transportation 1 block away on both buses and subway and close to schools in Park Slope, Carroll Gardens and Gowanus neighborhoods. Thd Dance Studio offers Choreography Services for school productions, audition pieces and prep for middle school and high school auditions.  Our Children's schedule includes: Tots and pre school program in dance and movement and kindergarten to first grade combination dance class. NEW THIS YEAR, but an old friend at The Dance Studio, is the return of tumbling classes for pre school and kindergarten students. The Dance Studio is the original center for tumbling in Park Slope. Also, offered is a complete curriculum for ages 6 through teens in dance and musical theatre, with outstanding progressive programs in Ballet, Tap, Jazz/Hip Hop Fusion and Contemporary Dance. This is a non-competition school that takes great pride in age and skill appropriate classes. Take a look at this year's schedule which offers an extensive variety of classes and times. Please read about our highly trained, diversified and professional faculty. We are certain that you will find the perfect class and teacher for your child. At all ages and levels, The Dance Studio offers the highest quality classes and experienced faculty who work to meet our students’ individual needs . . . challenge them . . . and excite them! The Children's school year is ongoing and divided into two semesters. First Semester begins Wednesday, September 9th and continues to the end of January 2010. Second Semester begins in February. The Dance Studio stands alone in this community with our end of school year Recital Performance, in June, held in a professional setting at Brooklyn College, Whitman Theatre. (Bottom photo is from the 25th Anniversary Recital in 2001) A Children's Summer Program is offered July through early August. Our Adult Program offers both dance and fitness group classes. Once again, The Dance Studio stands alone, offering our adult dancers the opportunity to perform in this professional setting in the annual recital.
